South Cerney: Railway Bridge Arches & light painting
June 6, 2019 at 18:30
A series of arches on the former Midland & South Western Railway at South Cerney near to the Bow Wow. Bow Wow is a pretty but narrow lane leading out of South Cerney, which has the River Churn running along one side and a mill stream on the other. Walk about 700 m along the lane, passing the manor house, the lane rises over the disused railway line. There are steps down to a footpath and the railway bridges below.
Meet: 6.30pm at the pub.
How to get there
South Cerney is about 12 miles north of Swindon. Take the A419 to the B4696 towards Ashton Keynes, then take the first right turn towards South Cerney following the road until you reach the market cross. Turn right onto Clarks Hay. Park at the Old George Inn.
Don’t drive up Bow Wow, it is narrow and there is no parking and limited turning places. Park at the Old George Inn
If you are coming as a guest, please make sure you introduce yourself.
